Nendo designed a set of chairs with Alias, an Italian company that specializes in aluminum furniture. Using the signature material that Alias is known for, Nendo took four aluminum "twigs" and used them as a base frame for the chairs whose upper portions come in five different variations. Designer Oki Sato started from the very minimum, using four small T-shaped woods and working up to a high-back chair, showing the possible evolution and reduction of the simple furniture. The wooden pieces can be taken out of the white aluminum base, enabling convenient storage and transportation of the chairs. See them above and learn more about the collaboration here.
