Next month, Netflix is scheduled to debut a new original series titled Stranger Things. The supernatural drama is set in Hawkins, Indiana during the 1980s, as the story centers around the search for a young boy who has seemingly vanished into thin air.
His mother (played by Winona Ryder) is highly suspicious of his disappearance, so she in turn partners with the local authorities in means of finding her lost son. The more they dig, however, the more they unravel a series of top-secret government experiments and terrifying supernatural forces, in addition to the discovery of one uncomfortably strange little girl.
A love letter to the supernatural classics of the '80s, Stranger Things sees Winona Ryder starring alongside David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton and Matthew Modine.
The series debuts on Netflix on July 15.
