Chosen as one of our most anticipated new shows of the fall, we now get our first extended look at Netflix's upcoming royal drama, The Crown.
Charting the early reign of Queen Elizabeth II - as depicted by Claire Foy of Wolf Hall fame - she certainly has large shoes to fill as it's a role that won Helen Mirren an Oscar for 2006's The Queen.
“I am aware by people that feel they could do the job better. But, for better or worse, the crown has landed on my head,” says Elizabeth, who had little idea at the time that she would become Britain’s longest-reigning monarch.
The Crown debuts on Netflix on November 4 and co-stars Doctor Who's Matt Smith as Prince Phillip, John Lithgow as Sir Winston Churchill, Victoria Hamilton as the Queen Mother and Jared Harris as King George VI.
