Ahead of this year’s FIBA Basketball World Cup which kicks off in Beijing, China later this month, Nike gives us a look at a coinciding fall collection of footwear referred to as the China Hoop Dreams pack. Featuring a variety of sneaker styles, the capsule draws from the influence of early 2000s basketball culture in China, harkening back to the days of basketball posters and locker room door customization.
Nike’s China Hoop Dreams collection consists of hoops silhouettes such as the Shox BB4 and Air Flightposite, in addition to running models like the Air VaporMax Flyknit 3, and lifestyle fixtures in the Air Force 1 Jester XX. The shoes are decorated with collage patterns referencing hoops culture in China.
The Air Force 1 ’07, Air Force 1 Jester XX, VaporMax Flyknit 3, and Benassi JDI Print Slide are slated to release August 8 in Greater China, prior to the launch of the Shox BB4, Air Flightposite, and Air Force 1 High ’07 on August 31.
