Coinciding with the FIFA Women's World Cup taking place in Canada, Nike has constructed a special engagement space in Vancouver to showcase the latest in Swoosh innovation. Banging the drum for Nike's latest #NoMaybes campaign, the elaborate "Nike Underground" facility is a venue for fans and players to join in a quick kick-around or pick-up game, while also checking out Nike's latest advances in athletic wear.
Those able to attend the space will enter through the player's tunnel - based on the passageway that pro footballers walk through before setting foot on the grass - then make their way to a fully-equipped indoor soccer pitch complete with video display. Adding to the experience is a display of the technology available to 11 Nike-sponsored women’s teams currently competing in Canada at the Women's World Cup — Australia, Brazil, China, England, France, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, South Korea, and the United States. The impressive display is completed by a locker room of sorts, showcasing the 2015 Nike Women’s Cleat Pack, which is currently being worn by some of the best players in the world.
