Noah‘s latest release is in collaboration with Scott Nelson, a longtime friend of Brendon Babenzien and an originator in the skatewear/streetwear scene. Nelson’s label, The Duct Tape Years, draws from times of struggle and dedication in skateboarding.
Babenzien and Nelson met back in the ’90s when skateboarding contests and concerts took place at people’s houses. When you visited a new city, you had to find the local skaters in order to secure a place to crash. And as money was generally tight, skaters were often forced to use duct tape to repair shoes and ripped knee pads.
Noah’s The Duct Tape Years capsule pays homage to this era, as the collection consists of four T-shirt designs — three short-sleeve and one long — featuring slogans such as “Drop Out To Drop In,” “Peace It’s Wonderful,” and “Babylon Makes The Rules.” The range also includes a tee that reads “The Duct Tape Years.”
Harkening back to those times of struggle in skateboarding and life in general, Noah’s The Duct Tape Years’ T-shirt collection is available now to purchase.
