Editor’s Notes: This July, Nordstrom revealed Concept 005, a partnership with UNION LA featuring exclusive pieces from RHUDE, Fear of God, Cactus Plant Flea Market, and more. Now, the luxury retailer has unveiled the latest installation in its “New Concepts” project, this time showcasing an exclusive capsule with 1017 ALYX 9SM.
Labeled Concept 006, the capsule comprises 40 exclusive pieces designed by 1017 ALYX 9SM’s Matthew Williams, including apparel and accessories, alongside the designer’s collaborations with Nike, Dior, and more. The collection has been broken up into four categories — leather, signature, technical, and formal.
The leather section includes some particular highlights, such as the all-black leather car coat, while the signature category offers (as the name may suggest) revisited signature ALYX designs including rollercoaster belts and chest rigs. Meanwhile, the capsule’s formal offering packs more classic yet bold pieces in the form of futuristic suits and footwear.
