We’ve yet to see a design firm that doesn’t love marble right now. The latest to take a shine to the material is Belgian firm Objetto, who’ve created this marble tray. This is more than just a slab of marble; the tray uses a carving technique created by Hector Alvarado, a Mexican sculptor based in Indonesia. It’s designed not just to place things on top, but also to remind you of both the fluidity of water and the fragility of stone, which is nice.
This is available from Objetto’s webstore, and could be in your house in time for the next parental visits; they’ll assume your marketing job is finally paying off when they see this tray.
