Scene queens rejoice because Olivia has arrived to bring some more doom and gloom into your bleak future. The Brooklyn-based duo is the magnetic combination of Little Shadows and Trashbaby, and while they appear to fall in line with the emo-rap movement that Lil Peep, Lil Uzi Vert, and Yung Lean became the faces of in recent years, Olivia’s ambient sound is more of a crossover between post-punk and emo-rap. Today, we’re premiering their new single “Loveless,” a vulnerable track that hits deeper than a punch to the gut.

“‘Loveless is a pretty forward ballad for a partner’s ex-lover,'” Olivia told us in an email. “Somehow in the process it ended up a lot more pop centric than originally anticipated, but the idea of a semi-diss track getting stuck in his head, or anyone else’s that might be in a similar situation, was too funny to pass up.”

Olivia will roll out their next EP titled Skinny Cut Lip this Spring. Hang tight for more from the duo and stream their latest soundbite below. For more from Olivia, check out their 2018 project Poster Boy.
