Ryan Reynolds is finally giving Fox the PG-13 Deadpool movie they’ve been desiring, as today we get our first look at Once Upon a Deadpool. The film is essentially a remixed version of Deadpool 2, complete with recut footage from the original picture. Once Upon a Deadpool does welcome a new addition to the cast, however, as Fred Savage plays Deadpool’s sidekick.

“Fox has been asking for a PG-13 basically since the start in 2006,” Reynolds revealed to Deadline. “I’ve said no since 2006. Now, this one time, I said ‘Yes’ on two conditions. First, a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity. Second, I wanted to kidnap Fred Savage. The second condition took some explaining.”

And while Once Upon a Deadpool does feature recut footage, the movie also boasts new scenes from the cast and crew of Deadpool 2.

You can get your first glimpse at the upcoming release, landing in theaters December 12, above. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to charitable organization Fuck Cancer.
