OPA's insane Casa Brutale concept that overlooks the Aegean Sea will soon be a thing of reality, as the firm has announced it will begin construction on the cliffside residence in the near future.
Upon being initially revealed in mid-2015, the housing concept spread like wildfire and quickly went viral. The house will rest on the Faqra Mountain located outside of Beirut at an altitude of 1,600 meters, 150 meters below the peak. Casa Brutale was first proposed to be 180 square meters, but has now been expanded to 270 square meters and can comfortably accommodate up to six people. The residence will also feature an underground garage capable of housing up to three vehicles.
With an overall budget of $2.5 million USD, global consulting company ARUP will foresee the challenging engineering process of the massive project. We'll be sure to keep you updated as the build progresses.
