Back in March of last year during an interview with David Rubenstein on Bloomberg’s The David Rubenstein Show: Peer-to-Peer Conversations, Oprah hinted at the possibility of running for president. Now, sources close to Winfrey have told CNN that she is "actively thinking" about throwing her hat in the ring.

The sources disclosed that a number of Oprah's close friends have been urging her to run, noting that such conversations date back several months. Winfrey, however, is reportedly undecided.

Such talk was in turn spawned last night following Oprah's captivating speech at the Golden Globes.

CNN then also points out that due to Winfrey's fame and wealth, she could very well be a strong candidate for the Democratic Party.

In past elections, Oprah has openly backed both Barack Obama in 2008 and Hillary Clinton in 2016.

For now, these ultimately remain mere speculations, so be sure to check back with us for any news surrounding the possibility of a presidential run from Oprah Winfrey.
