For New York Fashion Week Men’s, New York-based brand Ovadia & Sons showcases an impressive FW18 collection riddled with western influences merged with punk-rock themes.
The Ovadia twins, Ariel and Shimon, show their love for music, specifically latter-day punk bands like—My Chemical Romance, Underoath, Thursday, to name a few. They also pay homage to ’80s English punk band Charged GBH by recreating their No Need to Panic album graphics, and The Clash with a “Know Your Rights” tee.
The western themed items also hold their own, and could easily be the wardrobe for the next season of Westworld. More potent of them included plaid-on-plaid suits, star-spangled rockabilly shirts and jackets, patchwork denim, mohair leopard-print sweaters, a hand-knitted sweater of a “rodeo man” swinging a lasso, excellent red velvet and velour pants with brass buttons, Bitcoin inspired logo tops, and a lively casino-scene print.
Ovadia & Sons NYFWM’s show brought in a few celebrities to eye their future collection including NFL wider receiver Victor Cruz, who was the face of their Resort 2016 campaign, and rapper 21 Savage. Take a look at Ovadia’s FW ’18 collection in the gallery above.
