If you’re looking to expand or even start your art collection, Paddle8‘s current Solar Panel Art Series auction is a savvy and sustainable place to look. The online “Transition Edition” series boasts 17 one-of-a-kind artworks, each created on used solar panels.

The impressive roster of artists includes Danni Pantel, Fiete Stolte, Jiri Georg Dokoupil, Karl-Luis Vossbeck, Oskar Rink, Stefan Marx, Ian Shevack, Yangkura, and duo Random International. Browse a selection of the artworks in the gallery above to see how each artist has interpreted the challenge.

The Solar Panel Art Series is a platform mixing renewable energy and one-of-a-kind artworks, where solar panels are used as a springboard for artistic expression. It hopes to shine a light on the way in which art, technology, and nature can coexist and promote positive change toward a greener, more conscious tomorrow.

The auction will benefit the Little Sun Foundation founded by artist Olafur Eliasson. Its Solar Schools Program provides safe and sustainable light to schoolchildren and teachers in Rwanda.

Head over to Paddle8 to place your bid before May 30.
