Palace branding is present at the toe, while Salomon branding runs down the side of the heel. Editor’s Notes: Palace and Salomon have cooked up the most surprising collaboration of the week, combining on two colorways of the latter’s popular Speed Cross 4 silhouette. Salomon, traditionally a high performance footwear brand that specializes in hiking and trail-running shoes, has risen to prominence among the more fashion conscious crowd through collaborations with The Broken Arm, 11 By Boris Bidjan Saberi, and now Palace.
This move into trail-running is not a surprising one by Palace, as the London skateboarding label has often left the realms of skateboarding and streetwear to create the unexpected. Along with skate- and streetwear-centric apparel and footwear, Palace has also dropped various loafers and other formal footwear options.
