Key Pieces: Notable standouts include patterned fleece jackets, military-inspired outerwear, bomber jackets, and tees with embroidered details and graphic prints.
Editor’s Notes: After referencing legendary jazz musician Sun Ra in its SS18 collection, Melbourne-based lifestyle brand Perks and Mini (P.A.M) has unveiled its FW18 “RE_SEARCH” collection, which contains another solid range of apparel and accessories.
Channeling sportswear and military appeal with streetwear flair and contemporary sensibilities, the range encompasses a variety of outerwear, along with graphic tees, bottoms, hoodies, flannel shirts, sweaters, caps, and tote bags. Punctuating the overall aesthetic is the usage of bold prints and vibrant graphics, such as a reference to the Anunnaki (the lizard people), as well as fabrics including technical nylons and stretch cottons to reference energy and action.
Additionally, garments are embellished with QR codes that link to exclusive P.A.M mixes from the brand's DJ friends, while NYC artist Josh Smith has also collaborated for the season with his abstract paintings becoming a camouflage motif on military styles.
If you like what you see, the entire collection drops at Perks and Mini stores and online starting Saturday, July 21.
In other FW18 collections, BAPE and adidas debut an exclusive 1st CAMO line.
