Panerai has added a new bronze model to its Submersible diving watch line: the Submersible Bronzo 47mm.
The Submersible Bronzo is constructed from brushed bronze, which means every watch will age differently. Panerai CEO Jean-Marc Pontroué says, “In terms of a material, bronze is one of the most unique ones available in watchmaking— its ability to change and evolve over time, based on who the owner is and how he lives his life, makes it a truly, if perhaps the only, authentically personalized watch in existence.”
The Bronzo features a brown, ceramic, anti-clockwise rotating bezel with graduated scale, as well as a brown dial with luminous hour markers. The watch weighs in at 161 grams, is water resistant to 300 meters (30 bar), and has a three day power reserve.
Most of the watches will be sold at Panerai’s boutiques for $16,500, but every 3 months five watches will be available to buy in the US from the company’s website.
