It goes without saying that die-hard cyclists don’t let tempestuous weather conditions stand between them and the pavement. The designers at PEdAL ED kept this in mind when they were creating two of the brand’s newest offerings, the Saddle Packable Jacket and the Gufo Wind Jacket. With the new additions, they’ve covered just about every base a cyclist needs to be prepared: each silhouette is windproof, water resistant, lightweight and best of all, packable.

While both are made in Italy using function-first technical materials, the Saddle veers a little more toward the sartorial side of things. It’s styled after a modern three-button blazer but features cycling-conscious edits like specially cut arms that leave room for shifting riding positions and a notched lapel that also converts into a collar to protect riders from unpleasant weather. PEdAL ED also added two extra-generous front storage pockets along with a flap closing breast pocket to keep keys and wallets close at hand.

Next up is the Gufo, which definitely bears more of a resemblance to traditional cycling jackets. It features a snug fit, double-zip details and a longer cut back for comfort. You’ll also find a large rear pocket and a reflective trim to ensure safety on vehicle-crowded roads. This particular silhouette is advertised as ultra-light, so it will weigh next to nothing when you have to grab and go.

You can purchase either jacket along with a slew of other cycling gear on PEdAL ED’s website
