Drawn in by this top lookbook, we take a look at Peter Non Footwear. As the name suggests, this brand takes an alternative approach to the wearing of shoes, describing the line for men and women as "a non-shoe that transcends function and can be slipped on easily and unconsciously." While this laid-back attitude may seem to pull focus away from the product, the quality and craftsmanship that goes into each pair suggests Peter Non is pretty serious about its work.

Individually crafted in a workshop located at the the foot of the beautiful Dolomites in Italy, we're told "every single stitch, drop of glue, material preparation and assembly is done entirely by hand." An eco-friendly method of production, the Spring/Summer 2015 line utilizes black or white washed and waxed leather for an uneven finish, five styles currently on offer include a simple lace-up oxford, two slip-on sandals, a chukka and a high cut-out shoe. Each carefully made model is finished with a Vibram® bottom sole and a cork and caucciu insole for breathability and comfort; a reminder that this is all about ease of wear.
