After Business of Fashion first reported that Phoebe Philo was due to leave her post as creative director for Céline in October, LVMH announced today that she would be stepping down from her post after the brand’s Fall 2018 presentation.

Philo has been creative director of Céline since 2008 and has rebranded the label in the nine years since taking over, focusing on a minimally chic, professional look.

The heir to her Céline throne has not been decided yet, as LVMH has given no indication which of the current and former designers under Philo that have been linked with the position will take over.

Where Philo is off to next is also unknown.

As always, check back for more information as we’ll be posting updates as we have them.
