Planet Giza / Nery Isabel Adames Garcia

Planet Giza have been having one hell of a year. The Montreal trio hip-hop/producer trio released the project Added Sugar – which found them collaborating with the likes of Mick Jenkins and Kaytranada – to wide acclaim, while most recently they produced the track “Ridd” for GoldLink, topped by a recent high-octane appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

But today is all about them. The trio have just unveiled a giddy visual for Added Sugar track “Ace Boogie Energy,” making its world premiere right here. Take a look below.

Speaking on the visual, Planet Giza told Highsnobiety in an email that “For this video, directed by Touchemoipas, we were lightly inspired by the movie Paid in Full. Tony Stone raps away as money flows and smoke invade the rooms. Simply letting the flows dictate where the song goes. The hook explains shaking things up (making something boogie) in order to achieve a goal and gage the pacing of said trajectory.”
