Poten is a new brand that every baseball fan needs to know. In Japan, a single factory produces for the country’s major league Japanese baseball teams, and has long refused to produce for anybody else. Though Japanese brands have long hit up the factory in the hope that it will manufacture their caps, all were turned away in disappointment, until Poten.
Poten’s owner Hiro is a baseball fanatic, and after three years of relentless attempts, he finally managed to convince this most-impenetrable factory that he loved the game as much as they do. Having played in college and then in the Japanese minors, Hiro also claims to own one of the largest baseball card collections in Japan.
Not only does this backstory make Poten’s line of caps must-have items for the baseball aficionados of the world, but the hats also boast designs that propel the pieces to the top of the trend. Coming free from exterior branding, the caps have medium-height crowns and medium-length brims with 19 concentric stitches. Some even boast water-proof and wind-resistant technical fabrics, and all come with a super soft cowhide leather inner-headband, treated to withstand sweat on the field.
Each cap comes in three sizes and retail for $95. Click through on the links below to shop.
