Nike is well aware how beloved the Air Jordan 6 “Infrared” is amongst the illustrious roster of Jumpman-adorned sneakers. The company even paid homage to it last summer with a low-top in a “White Infrared” colorway. But somehow a sample pair of the original 2012 sneakers has surfaced online, and if you have $5,000 handy, they can be yours.
While every bit an authentic Air Jordan 6 “Infrared,” this alternate pair features a few noticeable differences in design. Namely, half of the sneaker’s midsole includes far more black components than the mass-produced version, as well as a blacked-out, perforated nubuck base. Things are finished off with the Infrared Jumpman branding on the heel.
This ultra-rare Air Jordan 6 “Infrared” sample is available on Stadium Goods.
If you need a more recent Air Jordan, the 1 has now arrived in “Metallic Navy.”
