For the latest Diesel Red Tag project, Diesel partners with Yuta Hosokawa and READYMADE, accounting for the fifth activation in the series, following Shayne Oliver of Hood By Air, Glenn Martens of Y/Project, Gosha Rubchinskiy of GR-Uniforma, and Samuel Ross of A-COLD-WALL*. With the collection, Hosokawa aims to show that something militaristic can be transformed into a high-fashion item.

“Fashion may contribute to the destruction of the environment. In consideration of the global environment and sustainable practices, I produced a collection with Diesel from a mountain of old denim pieces,” says Hosokawa.

As READYMADE solely utilizes vintage or deadstock cotton, featuring the names and identification numbers of the original owners, each piece is unique to itself. Hosokawa's six-piece Diesel Red Tag collection is handmade by the designer, as each garment is made from recycled denim. The capsule includes a Western collar jacket, utility jacket, duffle bag, baseball cap, and two pairs of jeans.

Diesel and READYMADE debuted the new Diesel Red Tag project during Paris Fashion Week. The collection will arrive in stores in January of next year.
