Following an early look in September, 20th Century Fox returns with the official trailer for director Francis Lawrence's Red Sparrow. The film, based on the book by Jason Matthews, stars Jennifer Lawrence alongside Joel Edgerton.

Lawrence in turn plays Dominika Egorova, a prima ballerina and a loving daughter who will stop at nothing to protect her mother. Upon suffering a career-ending injury, Egorova is forced to take up a new occupation, one with significantly more risk involved.

After becoming the newest recruit to Sparrow School, a secret intelligence service that trains exceptional young people to use their bodies and minds as weapons, Egorova quickly finds herself as the most dangerous Sparrow the program has ever produced. Now, she must work alongside an American CIA agent (Edgerton) in order to save her own life, as well as those she cares about.

Red Sparrow also stars Matthias Schoenaerts, Charlotte Rampling, Mary-Louise Parker, and Jeremy Irons, as it is due in theaters March 2.

In other movie news, Ridley Scott is planning another 'Blade Runner' sequel.
