Sam Mazzarino, the brains behind Reeno Studios, took to Instagram yesterday to unveil his distinctly Warholian take on the Air Force 1. The Nike sneaker is emblazoned with some of the American Pop artist’s most famous works.

The yellow and black Swoosh recalls Andy Warhol’s Banana print which famously appeared on ‘The Velvet Underground & Nico,’ the debut album by The Velvet Underground in 1967. The upper and lateral sides feature Warhol’s iconic Campbell’s soup cans. The midsole even features Warhol’s signature.

It would seem that Mazzarino, who only began posting his art around May of 2018, is a true Warhol fan. He does, however, site contemporary artists such as KAWS and Takashi Murakami as inspirations, too.

What do you think of Mazzarino’s take on the Air Force 1? Let us know in the comments below.

In other news, Maison Margiela just released $885 “Dirty Treatment” sneakers. Take a look here.
