A group of ex-Tinder employees have come together to launch Ripple, a new professional networking app aimed at dethroning LinkedIn.

Lead by Tinder's former CTO, Ryan Ogle, the app will focus on networking, in contrast to LinkedIn, which is more geared towards job hunting.

Speaking to TechCrunch, Ogle is quick to say that Ripple isn't just “Tinder for business networking.”

That said, the app does work a lot like Tinder. Users swipe left and right through profiles that feature an image and other information including job history, skills, education, and mutual connections.

The app also includes a new feature called Face Connect, which lets you scan an image of someone to quickly find their Ripple account. It also includes the option to limit the choices geographically and find users in your area.

You can download Ripple for both iOS and Android now.
