As Rolls-Royce is finally expected to produce its first-ever SUV, here we take a look at the long-anticipated Project Cullinan. Project Cullinan is in turn the developmental program for the British manufacturer's “all-terrain, high-sided vehicle.”
The prototype imagery showcases an overall shape that is undeniably Rolls-Royce, somewhat mimicking a modified Phantom, albeit taller, of course.
“This is an incredibly exciting moment in the development of Project Cullinan both for Rolls-Royce and for the patrons of luxury that follow us around the world,” said Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Rolls Royce's CEO. “Bringing together the new four-wheel drive system and the new ‘architecture of luxury’ for the first time sets us on the road to creating a truly authentic Rolls-Royce which, like its forebears, will reset the standard by which all other luxury goods are judged.”
And while we currently don't get to see the rear of the vehicle, it is expected to feature a wagon body style.
For now, all we have is the above prototype images for Project Cullinan, but let us know what you think of Rolls Royce's early renderings of its first-ever USV.
After checking out Project Cullinan, be sure to take a look at Rolls-Royce's insane 103EX concept.
