KITH founder Ronnie Fieg teased a top-down shot of what, at first glance, appeared to be a new collaborative ASICS GEL-Lyte 3, though upon closer inspection of the sole unit might actually be a GEL-Lyte 3.1.

Fieg rose to prominence in the sneaker world off the back of several highly-popular GEL-Lyte 3 collaborations in the late ’00s and early 2010’s. In 2016 the designer teamed up with ASICS to launch the hybrid GEL-Lyte 3.1, which featured a GEL-Lyte 3 upper on GEL Nimbus performance tooling.

This latest teaser, which could also just be a sample from 2016, features a light purple suede upper with hairy suede detailing. The insoles feature oversized ASICS and “FIEG” branding.

With Fieg’s penchant for following up teasers with more concrete release information, there could be more information to follow soon. Stay tuned for any updates.

On this week’s episode of The Dropcast we are joined Roger Gastman and David “CHINO” Villorente, where we discuss Gastman’s “Beyond the Streets” exhibit currently on display in Brooklyn, and how guys like Futura and KAWS have managed to make it in the art world on their own terms.
