Editor’s Notes: Dr. Martens teams up with American apparel brand Schott NYC for the first time ever, collaborating on the 1460 and 1490 silhouettes. As Schott’s Perfecto biker jacket and Dr. Martens’ 1460 boots are both closely associated with rock music culture, a collaboration between the two brands is seemingly a no-brainer.
A fusion of British and American culture, the 1460 and 1490 are both showcased in black leather iterations, inspired by punk, rebellion, and the rock star uniform. The boots are decorated with stars, snaps, rivets, and metal zipper pulls, similar to the design details featured on Schott NYC’s Perfecto jackets. The footwear also welcomes signature Dr. Martens elements in the smoke sole, black and yellow heel tab, and yellow welt stitching.
The Schott NYC x Dr. Martens 1460 and 1490 come packaged in a co-branded box, releasing in limited numbers on October 4.
