Belgian studio Sculp IT has recently created this townhouse in Antwerp. From the front, it’s a regular house. The back? That’s another story. The garden doors are filled with the world’s largest pivoting window, weighing nearly four tons and almost 20 feet in height; it’s fair to say that these are pretty big doors. The doors were made by special commission (obviously, doubt you can find 20 foot doors in your local homeware store) by Jansen. The aim of these doors, aside from just being huge, is to provide the entire house with the same level of natural light. Inside it’s all open plan, which looks great in pictures but probably won’t be if you want to avoid someone for a bit. But before you ask, yes, we’re a little jealous over here. If you’re like us, you’ll want to get a good look at this place in the images above.
