A villa in the small resort town of Anzère, Switzerland purchased by a Dutch racing driver has been refurbished by Amsterdam-based architecture firm SeARCH. Its foundation atop a steep hillside provides stunning views of nearby Dent Blanche Massif.

Inspired by the Grand Chalet Balthus in Rossinière, which is famous for its large roof overhangs, the luxury retreat boasts a farmhouse design that accommodates three volumes: a guest house downstairs, the main living areas in the middle, and a private apartment in the attic.

Slippery roadways made a garage in the back almost unaccessible, so SeARCH carved one into the mountain, connecting it to all three levels with an elevator.
