SEEK is Berlin’s premium biannual fashion trade show. An industry-only event for press and buyers, SEEK takes place over three days and features over 1,000 brands, offering an insightful portal into the cultural zeitgeist and the state of fashion and streetwear. Meanwhile, current topics concerning the industry, such as the future of sustainability, are explored via various think tanks.
The street style at SEEK Berlin (as captured above) pinpoints some of the key trends that have dominated fashion and streetwear over the past 12 months including utility vests (such as the one from Chinese label SANKUANZ in slide #9), the perfect paring of a smart shirting with loose pants in slide #5, and a deference to muted browns, beiges and burnt orange across the board.
As for the products themselves, the accessories caught our eye the most with the sidebag trend showing no sign of slowing down, being available in a myriad of different styles and patterns ranging from under-the-radar black to loud leopard prints.
Elsewhere, iconic workwear brand Dickies showcased a range of bold color-blocked sweaters and short-sleeved shirts. For footwear, there was a fresh colorway of the Intruder model from Cat Footwear, with ’90s-inspired primary color panelling, and a close look at the super clean Sparta model from Ellesse.
