Serena Williams won her first US Open match wearing a custom Virgil Abloh-designed off shoulder tutu dress, alongside compression fishnet tights and a pair of sparkly silver NikeCourt Flare sneakers.

William's bold outfit choice comes after the French Open implemented a dress code that would see her all-black catsuit from earlier this summer fall foul of the rules. “I think that sometimes we’ve gone too far,” French Tennis Federation president Bernard Giudicelli said when announcing the ban. He continued, referencing Williams’ catsuit, “It will no longer be accepted. One must respect the game and the place.”

Nike unveiled the outfit earlier this month when announcing the Abloh-designed "QUEEN" collection, but this is the first time we've seen it in action. What do you think of the look? Let us know in the comments below.
