Last September, the hip-hop world lost Southern rap pioneer Shawty Lo in a car crash that occurred in Fulton County, Georgia. Best known for being a founding member of rap group D4L, Shawty Lo brought a unique touch to the group and inspired many artist coming out of Atlanta today.
To commemorate him, his family will release a posthumous album with 300 Entertainment entitled Rico that will come out on March 24. The first release of the 14 song project is titled "My Love" and takes us back to R&B and rap ballads from the early 2000s. You can also expect to see cameos from Shawty Lo's kids Quando and Keke, along with artists like Boosie Badazz, Ralo and more.
