Normcore fashion god, Shia LaBeouf, is turning 33 soon. He took to Twitter recently to tell fans that “In the spirit of getting my shit together we’re throwing a big party.”
More accurately, he’s hosting a fundraiser for the 10-month-old Slauson Rec Theater Company; an unconventional, experimental, devised theater based in Los Angeles.
LaBeouf says the Sacred Spectacle event has “a better lineup than Coachella,” with appearances from YG, Jaden Smith, David Blaine, Vic Mensa, Kamaiyah, How to Dress Well, Baby Keem, baths, Ka5ch, Slayyyter, Elijah Daniel, Nao Bustamente, Human Fountains, and Daisy. Shlomo is the night’s official DJ.
The benefit will take place on the evening of June 29 at Hudson Loft on Hope Street. You can still buy tickets here.
On this episode of The Dropcast, we are joined by activist and educator DeRay Mckesson who schools us on some history of black and gay activism.
