Ahead of dropping his debut album this month, slowthai unveils a dramatic video for the title track, "Nothing Great About Britain." The insane video follows the rapper's journey as he becomes the royal heir to the throne after pulling the legendary Excalibur sword from its stone. As per usual, it's a tongue-and-cheek mockery of British stereotypes from knighting his mates to the broadcast news segments on television. The hilarious visual closes with slowthai leading a crowd to sing Britain's national anthem, "God Save The Queen."

In a press release, slowthai explained how the project is about his experience growing up in the U.K. as the child of immigrants. "Through it, I've gone on a journey of explaining how everything I was chasing to make me feel good only clouded my judgement," he said. "And it took me going through a ton of shit to realize that none of these things-no money, no drugs, no fake relationships-is gonna make me happy, or make me a good person."

As we previously reported, Skepta will be featured on the record which is due out on May 17. Back in March, he made a special appearance on Flume's Hi This Is Flume mixtape which we reviewed here. Watch the full video above.
