Today Sonos has unveiled its new voice-enabled smart speaker, the Sonos One. Touted as the smart speaker for music lovers, the device has the ability to stream from more than 80 services.

You can control the entire Sonos system with Amazon Alexa, and in 2018, Sonos will officially open its software platform to developers who are looking to build new integrations that will be certified with an official “Works with Sonos” badge.

Before the end of the year, however, owners will be able to access Sonos One directly from Pandora and Tidal music services. Audible, iHeartRadio and KukeMusic will then come in early 2018.

Also arriving in 2018 will be the ability to connect to Apple's Siri, thus accessing Airplay.

Retailing for $199 USD, the Sonos One is now available for pre-order. Shipping will take place on October 24.
