Did someone say playlist party? After introducing a song clip sharing bot to Facebook Messenger earlier in the year, Spotify continues to expand its social media operation with shared "Group Playlists."

The feature, which will be rolled out today, can be accessed by clicking on the existing Spotify Messenger app. Users can then begin curating playlists with friends, or even groups. Only Spotify members will be able to listen back, but non-members will be able to access of a preview of the selected tracks. Furthermore, anyone at any time will be able to add their own choices to the list.

Speaking to TechCrunch, Spotify confirmed that "millions" of song clips had been sent over Messenger already. This development will no doubt add to that figure further.
