Following the recent release of the first trailer, Vanity Fair gives us a closer look at J.J. Abrams’s much-anticipated Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker via a selection of images. In addition to multiple behind-the-scenes photos, the publication reveals two new covers, one featuring Adam Driver as Kylo Ren and the other with Daisy Ridley as Rey, each of which were photographed by the legendary Annie Leibovitz.
Vanity Fair doesn’t stop at showcasing the movie’s top stars, however, as they also highlight new characters played by Richard E. Grant and Kerri Russell, as well as Luke Skywalker and the Knights of Ren. In Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Grant portrays First Order officer Allegiant General Pryde, and Russell is masked scoundrel Zorri Bliss.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is due in theaters December 20.
