We asked Stephen a few questions to get to know him better. Keep up with the discussion through #HSstreetstyle.

Tell us a bit about yourself. What do you do?

I'm a musician, guitarist mostly. Hardcore and punk rock. I've also started designing shirts for Youthsick.

Describe your style. Where do you get your inspiration from?

I really like that sort of Ramones-era punk style. Short fitting shirts, heavy belts, tight jeans and boots. But I also dig current skate-inspired streetwear. So I try to tastefully mix the two if possible.

Who is your all time number 1 style icon?

Jim Greco and Jason Dill growing up. Sometimes it's wasn't even so much what they wore as much as the confidence they had no matter how crazy their outfit was. I kinda lacked that confidence growing up but looking up to those dudes was like yeah...that's so sick I can do that.

What’s your one item of clothing you’d never give up?

My black ankle boots.

What’s one piece that you wish you’d bought when you had the chance?

These snakeskin pants I found in London like three years ago! I seriously dream about them.

Where’s your favorite place to go shopping?

I love punk stores. "Search and Destroy" in New York is right up my alley. "A Ma Maniere" in Atlanta is cool too. That's not a punk store but it's a great streetwear boutique.

What’s your number one style rule?

I don't know. Should there be any rules? I guess try not to look like you're wearing a costume of someone else.
