A powerful story of courage versus tragedy is the focus of new trailer for Stronger, an upcoming film about the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Tatiana Maslany.
The film centers on Jeff Bauman (played by Gyllenhaal), a 27-year-old Bostonite who attends the 2013 Boston Marathon in a bid to reconcile with his ex-girlfriend Erin, played by Maslany. However, as Jeff waits at the finish line, the bomb blast claims both of his legs. What follows is a story of triumph against huge odds as Jeff tries to get back on his feet during his painful rehabilitation.
This isn't the first film about the Boston Marathon bombings, with Mark Wahlberg starring in Patriots Day only a few months back. Be sure to check out Stronger when it hits cinemas on September 22.
