The bright prints and colors of the SS16 collection from Stussy immediately evoke the sun-kissed streets of Southern California, a comparison that the brand certainly encourages. But the brand’s most recent collection has been completely reimagined in a new editorial that puts the clothing right onto the streets of Milan.
The editorial is the brain child of photographer Toni Brugnoli and stylist Silvia Vinci. The two traveled to a suburb just outside the Italian cultural capital and used a mix of models and people off the street. They used a variety of pieces from Stussy’s SS16 line, such as the checkered shirts, enveloping bucket hats and graphic-laden long-sleeve tees.
