Brand: Takashi Murakami x PORTER

Model: BS-06 T.Z. Original

Key Features: This high-top sneaker is exaggeratedly utilitarian, featuring removable PORTER mini-bags that can be attached via popper and Velcro closures around the heel and sides of the shoe. A white leather base features olive nylon overlays and two forefoot straps. Orange detailing adds contrast. The upper sits atop what looks to be a Nike Air Force 1-inspired sole, with Murakami artwork replacing the “Air” branding at the heel, with an elongated and pointed toe area.

Release Date: August 26

Price: TBC

Buy: cherry Fukuoka (via raffle)

Editor’s Notes: Artist Takashi Murakami’s hotly awaited, ultra-utilitarian PORTER sneaker collab is finally getting an official release via a raffle by Japanese retailer cherry Fukuoka. The sneaker, which might just kill our need to carry a wallet or bag ever again, was teased in October last year when Murakami shared a prototype via Instagram. The final result updates the original look slightly with two forefoot straps.

The raffle to cop ends on August 25. Sign up below.
