YouTuber Marques Brownlee (aka MKBHD) has shared a video in which he tours Tesla's Fremont, California factory with CEO Elon Musk. While guided visits are primarily reserved for car owners and VIPs, Brownlee seizes his opportunity to ask the entrepreneur a host of questions during their walk around the facility.
Among the information viewers pick up from the video, we learn that production speed for the Model 3 increased to "about 1 mph," which is said to be faster than the Model S and Model X, although we can only hope the car itself is a little faster.
In between shots of manufacturing and engineering, Musk muses on the factory's robots and shares his hopes on the future of Tesla production, noting how a lot of the work done at the Fremont facility is still carried out by its 10,000-plus human workers. The factory recently reached a production speed of 7,000 cars in a single week. Check out the video in full above.
Prior to the tour video, Brownlee also released a clip of him interviewing Musk, which you can watch below.
In related news, Elon Musk recently admitted 2018 has been his most "difficult and painful" year.
