Talking to Vogue before the video’s release — which sees the singer grooving (with zero planned choreography) to Exile’s “Kiss You All Over” — Taylor explained that she was approached by Agent Provocateur to “be involved in creating a new approach to female empowerment,” adding, “I felt like it could be an opportunity for me to represent different types of women with regards to lingerie.”
Agent Provocateur creative director Sarah Shotton told Vogue, “The brand is all about strong women, curves, and healthy bodies that are sexually liberated and free” — characteristics Taylor has in spades. Shotton described Taylor as a “superhero woman,” adding, “We wanted to create something that represents the confidence our underwear gives the wearer.”
