Fede Álvarez’s The Girl in the Spider’s Web lands in theaters this week, but ahead of the premiere we get a closer look at the anticipated film. The new clip focuses on supporting actor Lakeith Stanfield who plays NSA agent Edwin Needham.

The Girl in the Spider’s Web is the latest installment from The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo franchise, based on David Lagercrantz’s book of the same name. Claire Foy stars as Lisbeth Salander in the new movie, alongside Stanfield, Sverrir Gudnason, and Sylvia Hoeks.

In the new footage we see Stanfield’s character, Edwin Needham, rushing to stop Salander from hacking into the agency’s servers.

“My character just wants to find her to secure some very precious cargo that she’s stolen, that could potentially hold in the balance the future of the world,” Stanfield told Screen Rant back in June. “And so really his motivation is to stop it from getting into the wrong hands, and he assumes that it might have been in the wrong hands, having been taken by… who he finds out is Lisbeth. So he just spends his time knocking down trees, jumping over fire pits, rolling around in the snow, trying to find this woman […] And then he finds out who it is, and then they develop a little partnership.”

The Girl in the Spider’s Web hits theaters November 9.
