As the final episode of the first season premieres today, showrunner and creator Jon Favreau confirms a second season of The Mandalorian is on the way. Favreau took to social media to break the news, announcing a Fall 2020 release date and sharing a picture of what is presumed to be a new character from the upcoming season.

The live-action Star Wars series premiered on Disney+ on November 12. Soon after, it became America’s most-streamed TV show, marking an end to Stranger Things‘ 21-week run. Starring Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, and Carl Weathers, the program centers around a lone gunfighter and his travels through the outer reaches of the galaxy.

This is all we have on the anticipated second season of The Mandalorian for now. Expect to hear more surrounding season two and the mysterious new creature — which will have a difficult time rivaling Baby Yoda — in the weeks and months to come.

Not NYC, not LA.
