With a premiere set for later this year, Fox has unveiled the latest trailer for Guillermo del Toro's other-worldly fairytale, The Shape of Water. Here, the mysterious, scaled creature emerges from the water tank, only for all hell to break loose.

The film centers around Elisa (Sally Hawkins), a mute cleaning lady who works in secret, high-security government laboratory in 1962 Baltimore. Whenever she uncovers her employer's hidden asset — the aforementioned creature — Elisa begins to form a bond and ultimately falls in love with the scaled figure.

Following, Elisa helps the asset escape, forcing Strickland (played by Michael Shannon) to clean up the mess.

Octavia Spencer, Richard Jenkins, Michael Stuhlbarg and Doug Jone star alongside Hawkins and Shannon in The Shape of Water, which is due in theaters December 8.
