With NBA All-Star 2018 set to take over Los Angeles this weekend, news and product surrounding the event continues to stream in. Here, we find The Shoe Surgeon joining with Jack Daniel’s, official partner of the NBA, for a custom creation of the Nike Air Force 1.
Inspired by elements of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey Whiskey, the Forces showcase single stitching to reduced the number of panels on the sneaker. Black Horween leather has then been paired with dark brown distressed leather and Vachetta tan leather accents, while gold metal eyelets play complement. The leather utilized on the shoe is designed to age with each wear, ultimately a nod to Jack Daniel’s barrel-aging process.
If you’re in LA this weekend (February 17 and February 18), stop by the Lynchburg General Store pop-up (903 W. Olympic Blvd.) from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for a chance to win a pair of The Shoe Surgeon’s custom, limited edition Air Force 1s.
